I personally experience and hold space for Sensuality, Conscious Kink, PSI and/or BDSM as a form of Play and Ritual, where we get to create a potential for altered states of consciousness. I am a Switch and experience Kink (both Sub and Dom) as a very effective and creative way to reach deeply into our subconscious and find answers that might not be available in our everyday life.
The negotiated experience allows for true presence, for everyone involved. Being very specific with what you want and how you want it, creates a strong container, which allows for an intensified experience. This idea of 'applying pressure' and changing limiting patterns of behavior, is an ancient alchemical philosophy and a Tantric principle called Tapas-Spanda.
And surrender in this context is not just a reckless abandon, but rather a process of 'noticing', while your body is being stimulated in many ways, your mind can explore your subconscious. Your Heart is open. Through this deep enjoyment, you have a chance to bypass self-limiting belief systems, allow pure Creative Force to flow through your body and engage in Life-transformation.
I also use the terms Power, Surrender and Intimacy (PSI started in Joseph Kramer's The Body Electric School). The healing power of pleasure can occur best within a setting of awareness and full presence.
